about

Recorded live in session at Downtown Radio studios, Newtownards, 18th December 1994.

lyrics

I'm sorry if I've been acting strange
But there's tension in the air,
and I don't like change.
I believe I can see a time to come of disarray
And I am in the dark, I am unprepared

"Don't worry, it's all in your head"
That's what the others say to me
from the safety of their armchairs
So I pause for thought, take a walk,
around the inner wilderness
There's something eating me, feeding on my nerves

CHORUS:
And under the gorse lie, in hundreds,
the Larvae, waiting...for the day.

When nature will take its course
The season to pupate will be done
Our skin will peel to reveal a termite or a butterfly
which one of these, I can't be sure...

CHORUS repeat

I feel so weary in the haze
I find it hard to carry on
When all around me goes up in flames
Burn the anguish, burn the source
Larvae

The Feline Dream Castlewellan, UK

The Feline Dream were a collaboration between David 'Deakie' Davis and Nicholas 'Mermaid' Carlisle, a pair of gingers from County Down.

The band met a wretched demise in December 2003, however due to the invention of the phonograph by Édouard-Léon Scott de Martinville on 25th March 1857, their music can still be enjoyed today.
