A Different Story

from Florian und Magalie EP by The Feline Dream

/

lyrics

v.1
Two out of three ain't bad
Until you're begging for another one
And so I'm starting to grip your hand
You know I'm never gonna let you run
It's not that I'm hoping to hold you back
I'd never try to keep you under my thumb
Well, not as such...

So hide those glances at strangers like you hide those scars
You said that you were mine...

CHORUS:
...but inside your head, A Different Story,
another life to lead
That's what you want: your "freedom" - how boring! -
well, it isn't what you need

v.2
So I'm the best that you've ever had?
You call me on the telephone
("hello, it's me again")
Making like you're so sad
You're to-and-froing like a metronome (to/fro/to/fro)
Is it that you're trying to drive me mad?
Yeah, so then you won't be feeling so alone.

I've seen you starting to run dear: you won't get far.
You said that you were mine

about

The Feline Dream Castlewellan, UK

The Feline Dream were a collaboration between David 'Deakie' Davis and Nicholas 'Mermaid' Carlisle, a pair of gingers from County Down.

The band met a wretched demise in December 2003, however due to the invention of the phonograph by Édouard-Léon Scott de Martinville on 25th March 1857, their music can still be enjoyed today.
